| DOWNTOWN BUSINESS NEWS City of Orlando Launches $750M Downtown Infrastructure Overhaul The City of Orlando is moving forward with its DTO Action Plan, issuing a request for qualifications to design firms for a $750 million investment converting one-way streets into two-way corridors and adding green space downtown. Key projects include converting Orange and Rosalind avenues to two-way streets, creating pocket parks, and constructing a 10-acre urban gathering space under I-4 called The Canopy. Initial work on Magnolia Avenue begins in early February and will last six months, with design for major avenue conversions starting in the second or third quarter of 2026. Stay informed about the latest projects here.Orlando Pride Welcomes New VP of Soccer Operations & General Manager The Orlando Pride has named Caitlin Carducci as its new VP of Soccer Operations & General Manager, bringing more than a decade of experience across U.S. Soccer and the NWSL. Carducci joins the Pride after serving as general manager for the Kansas City Current, where she helped build the team that captured the 2025 NWSL Shield. Her experience includes roles at U.S. Soccer and the NWSL, developing programs that contributed to the league's unprecedented growth. Read more here.Orlando Health Children's Pavilion Nears Completion Orlando Health targets a late summer 2026 completion for its $160 million Orlando Health Children's Pavilion, currently in active construction downtown across from Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital. The 189,000-square-foot facility will house more than 30 pediatric specialties including cardiology, orthopedics, and neuroscience, serving over 100 affiliated doctors under one roof. Hope & Humanity Core Exhibition at HMREC
The Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida is opening its newly renovated main exhibition Hope & Humanity on January 18. The reimagined experience invites visitors to engage more deeply with survivor testimony, historical context, and moral questions that remain urgently relevant today, designed for both first-time visitors and returning audiences. MLK Day of Service Million Meal Pack
U.S. Hunger presents the annual MLK Day of Service Million Meal Pack on January 19 from 8am to 3pm at the Orange County Convention Center. In collaboration with The Orlando Mayor's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and the Orange County MLK Initiative, this family-friendly event brings the community together to pack up one million healthy meals for families across Central Florida. Ramen Rumble Return for 8th Year
Ramen Rumble, presented by Patina Group and Good Salt Restaurant Group, returns with Battle of the Champions on Monday, February 2 at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs, bringing together past champions for an elite culinary face-off.
