Mayor Dyer Delivers 2026 State of the City Address
City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer delivered his 2026 State of the City Address at The Plaza Live on August 14, spotlighting the city's 3,500 public servants and the investments that keep Orlando safe, connected and moving forward. Magic Games Head to Free TV
The Orlando Magic is partnering with Cox Media Group for a multi-year deal bringing free over-the-air broadcasts to Central and North Florida. WRDQ-TV 27 and WFTV Channel 9 will carry all regular season games starting in October, joining a growing list of NBA teams moving away from cable. The move is designed to give fans greater access and a more direct connection to the team all season long. Learn more here.

UCF Debuts $90M Roth Tower This Season
The University of Central Florida is opening its new Roth Tower at Acrisure Bounce House in time for the 2026 football season. The 85,000 square foot structure adds 28 luxury suites, 34 outdoor sky suites and more than 1,700 premium seats, with Barton Malow serving as general contractor on the project. Beyond football, the tower is designed to host year-round corporate events, weddings, and more than 300 campus gatherings to support recruiting, fan growth, and Orlando's broader tourism economy. Magical Dining Returns for Its 21st Year
Visit Orlando's Magical Dining, presented by Orlando Health, has officially begun! The program runs through September 30 with a record 180+ participating restaurants across Central Florida, including 15 Michelin Guide honorees and 36 first time participants. Diners can enjoy three course, prix fixe menus for $40 or $60 per person, with a portion of every meal supporting OCA, a local nonprofit serving individuals with autism and developmental differences.
