Lake Eola Revitalization Projects
The City of Orlando is moving forward with two major Lake Eola projects, a new gateway entrance and a pocket park, expected to cost $14 million and be completed in 2027. The projects aim to enhance walkability, community engagement, and connectivity between downtown and Lake Eola Park, with design work beginning in 2026. Magic Hosts Reading Event for Orange County Students
Orlando Magic players kicked off the season by inspiring young readers at the annual Pick, Read and Roll event at the Kia Center, hosted in partnership with Orange County Public Schools. More than 3,400 fourth and fifth graders from Title I schools joined the team for interactive games, competitions, and motivational messages focused on the importance of reading and staying in school. Orlando’s 150th Anniversary Inspires New Orlando History Makers Podcast Series
Orlando City Commissioner Robert F. Stuart has launched Orlando History Makers, a new podcast celebrating the city’s 150th anniversary by spotlighting the leaders who helped shape its growth and identity. The series debuts with Mayor Buddy Dyer and will feature weekly conversations with influential civic, cultural, and political figures who have played key roles in Orlando’s evolution. LED Lighting Coming to Camping World Stadium
Camping World Stadium is set to undergo a $400 million expansion beginning in early 2026, featuring a new design with programmable, color-changing LED lighting wrapped around its metallic exterior. The project will also introduce upgraded seating, premium suites, improved wayfinding, and enhanced fan experiences in preparation for a 2027 completion. Once finished, the stadium will seat 65,000 and position Orlando to attract major entertainment and sporting events. Learn more about the advancements here.

College Park JazzFest returns on October 25 from 5–11 PM, bringing the community together for an evening of live jazz, R&B, rock, and more across three stages.
