AdventHealth's Largest-Ever Expansion Project
Rob Deininger, AdventHealth's President & CEO, told Orlando Business Journal about the nonprofit health system's plans to build a new 14-story, 595,000-square foot patient and surgical tower for AdventHealth Orlando. Located south of King Street to the east of the SunRail tracks, the building will have room for up to 440 patient beds and 24 operating rooms at full buildout for the hospital, which has 1,371 licensed beds. The tower project aims to complete its first phase in the first quarter of 2030, following five years of construction, with parts of the structure expected to start coming out of the ground by the middle of next year. Visit Orlando Announces Orlando as 2024's Most-Visited Destination in the U.S.
At their annual Travel & Tourism Event, Visit Orlando announced that Orlando welcomed 75,333,800 visitors in 2024—an increase of 1.8% over 2023. Every January, visitation starts at zero and through strategic marketing and the strength of world-class experiences, Orlando welcomes millions of visitors each year. A few of the key findings from Orlando's 2024 visitation results include: domestic visitation grew by 1.4%, international visitation visitation grew 5.9% from the previous year, and Canada remains the top international market to Orlando with 1.29 million visitors. Opera Orlando Presents Treemonisha
Opera Orlando invites you to embark on a life-affirming journey of family and community in a new production of Scott Joplin’s opera, Treemonisha.
