Allen Johnson Honored with 2025 IAVM Foundation Legacy Award
The International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating and advocating for critical issues and inspiring professional growth within the venue management industry, announced Orlando Venues Chief Venues Officer and DOP Trustee, Allen Johnson, as the recipient of the esteemed 2025 Foundation Legacy Award. The award recognizes Johnson’s extraordinary contributions, sustained excellence and profound influence in the venue management industry. Ronald McDonald House Charities Announces Partnership with Kroger Delivery
Ronald McDonald House Charities Central Florida (RMHCCF) has officially launched a new partnership with Kroger Delivery. Through a generous contribution of $21,000 and ongoing monthly in-kind donations, Kroger Delivery will support their pantry space with essential groceries and fresh produce. Their support allows RMHCCF to ensure families have the resources and nourishment they need during their stay.
Summerlin Improvement Project Moves to Next Phase April 28
The Summerlin Avenue Improvement Project will move on to its next phase of construction on April 28 on the intersection of Summerlin Avenue and South Street. The improvement project is working towards enhancing the community's infrastructure by replacing the 87-year-old water main with OUC - The Reliable One. Beyond utility upgrades, the project also includes a complete restoration of the roadway, from base course reconstruction to the reinstatement of brick pavers or asphalt paving. Lane closures and turning restrictions will be in place, so stay up-to-date on the project at orlando.gov/Summerlin.

Dean Mead has announced attorney Jennifer Powers is joining the firm’s Real Estate and Financial Institution Teams. Having represented large national institutional lenders and non-banks in complex commercial finance and real estate transactions, Jennifer’s experience includes mezzanine debt financing, syndicated loan transactions, construction lending, multi-family developments, loan workouts, commercial leasing, and multi-state transactions.
