Give Back with Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining
Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining, presented by Orlando Health, is about more than great food—it’s about giving back. Last year, over $352,000 was raised for The Mustard Seed of Central Florida and other local nonprofits. This year, funds will support early childhood development and learning, as well as provide scholarship opportunities that increase access to quality education. Honoring Orlando’s 150th Anniversary with Orlando Collected
The Orange County History Center is launching a new exhibition, Orlando Collected, on April 12 in honor of Orlando’s 150th anniversary. Featuring 150 unique objects curated by local historians and community members, this collection showcases rarely seen artifacts that bring the city’s rich history to life. Valencia College Awards Scholarships to Orlando High School Seniors
Seniors at Jones and Evans high schools in Orlando were surprised yesterday with scholarships for free tuition and fees at Valencia College, thanks to private donations. This initiative aims to increase college enrollment and eliminate disparities in historically underrepresented communities within Orange County. Jazz & Blues Concert at Leu Gardens
Harry P. Leu Gardens is hosting an evening of jazz and blues on Saturday, April 12. “That Light’s Yours” Interactive Installation Opens at ArtCube
Angel Rodriguez Lozada is transforming the ArtCube Gallery with his interactive installation, "That Light’s Yours", which uses light and sound to respond to passersby. The installation invites participation, triggering changes in the environment based on movement and noise, creating an immersive experience for those nearby. The opening will take place on Thursday, April 17, from 6–8:30pm at Interstruct, located at 814 W. Church Street, with an artist talk at 7:15pm.
