UCF Roth Tower Groundbreaking
Earlier today, the University of Central Florida (UCF) hosted the groundbreaking of construction at Roth Tower, a transformative project at FBC Mortgage Stadium and key component of their Mission XII Initiative, that will enhance the fan experience, elevate athletics programs, and serve as a beacon for collegiate athletics in the community. The tower will increase premium capacity, expand suite offerings, and provide unique event opportunities year-round, attracting more fans, visitors and events to the Kenneth G. New Parking Downtown
Downtown Orlando is making it easier to park, navigate, and enjoy everything the city has to offer with the addition of 148 new temporary parking spaces in the future Canopyspace. The first lot, located on Pine Street between Garland Avenue and Hughey Avenue, includes 53 spaces currently open for 3-hour public parking between 11 am-4am. The second temporary lot, located on Central Boulevard between Garland Avenue and Hughey Avenue, will offer 95 spaces designated for pick-up and drop-off. Visitors can pay for parking using the ParkMobile app. Please note that parking cannot be reserved in advance, so spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bowl Season at Camping World Stadium
Camping World Stadium is gearing up this bowl season by hosting three major bowl games over the span of 12 days: StaffDNA Cure Bowl (December 20), Pop-Tarts Bowl (December 28) and Cheez-It Citrus Bowl (December 31). This achievement highlights the stadium’s status as one of the nation's premier destinations for college football and cements its place in sports history as the only stadium in the nation to host three bowl games annually. Holiday Drone Show at Lake Eola
On Saturday, December 21, at 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM, Lake Eola Park will host a spectacular Holiday Drone Show, presented by AdventHealth. Free Access Dates at Orlando Museum of Art
The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) will host two Access for All events where guests can enjoy free admission on Thursday, December 19, and December 26, from 10am-8pm this holiday season. The December 19 event will feature a gallery talk at 1:30pm with Dr. Richard L. Gray who will share the story behind his renowned guitar collection, as well as an unforgettable lecture on skatepark design at 6pm with Tim Payne, Founder and President of Team Pain Skate Parks. The December 26 event will see the return of La CinOMAthéque; a collaboration between OMA and the Enzian, providing guests with a free screening of the 1967 experimental film Wavelength by Canadian artist Michael Snow. Creative City Project's Immerse Returns in February!
Creative City Project has officially announced the return of their signature arts event, Immerse, presented by AdventHealth, to downtown Orlando. In collaboration with over 100 artists and arts organizations, Immerse will expand over 10 blocks of downtown Orlando to feature live performances and immersive art installations from February 21-23, 2025.
