Creative City Project Names New Executive Director & Expands Leadership Team
Makers of Central Floridaā€™s spectacular, innovative, immersive arts experiences,Ā Creative City ProjectĀ (CCP), announce the promotion of their Executive Producer, Melyssa Marshall, to the role of Executive Director. Not new to the organization, Marshall began her journey with CCP in 2012 as an assistant to the Founder & Artistic Director, Cole NeSmith, focusing on creating the IMMERSE festival which transforms 10 city blocks of Downtown Orlando into performance space.Ā Haā€™ani Hogan, PhD, completes the dynamic leadership team by joining as the External Affairs Director of Creative City Project.Ā Hogan will focus on strategy, fundraising and development for Creative City Project, and brings more than 11 years of advocacy and community development to the position. Travel + Leisure Co. to Relocate Headquarters to Downtown Orlando
The worldā€™s leading membership and leisure travel company is set to relocate its headquarters to Downtown Orlando.Ā ThisĀ strategic moveĀ will add over 100 new, high-wage jobs,Ā bringing over 1,000 employees to the downtown core.Ā Orlando City commissioners awarded T+L more than $6 million in incentives to support the relocation, underscoring Orlando's commitment to fostering a vibrant downtown business environment. Thanks to collaborative efforts by theĀ Orlando Economic Partnership, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, the Orlando City Council, and the local and state economic development teams, Travel + Leisure Co.'s decision to relocate will further stimulate local businesses and inject even more innovation and talent in Orlando's urban core. OUC Proposing to Modernize Pricing Structures
TheĀ Orlando Utilities CommissionĀ (OUC) announces a multi-year plan to modernize its electric service pricing structures and share costs more equitably.Ā As the utility continues on this path to clean energy, these pricing structure changes promote efficient use of the grid while using advanced digital technologies and effective price signals that deliver community-wide value.
