Congratulations, Orlando Credit Union!
Earlier this week, Orlando Credit Union was awarded the 2023 Top Community Credit Union for the North Florida Region by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in a ceremony hosted by University of Central Florida (UCF) at the Citrus Club. At the ceremony, UCF and SBA recognized the work of Orlando Credit Union, specifically its recent lending volume. Small business lending is the cornerstone of the American economy providing jobs and careers to many people in this country. This is true for Orlando, and the lending provided by Orlando Credit Union helped more companies, and people achieve more, go farther. Congratulations to the entire Orlando Credit Union team for attaining this recognition and award!

CareerSource Central Florida Announces New Leadership Roles
CareerSource Central Florida recently announced Nilda Blanco and Gina Ronokarijo in new leadership roles at CareerSource Central Florida as they journey towards a BOLD future. Nilda Blanco has transitioned into a new position as Sr. Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. Nilda has more than 20 years of experience in the workforce industry.  She will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive growth and prosperity in targeted counties and municipalities. Gina Ronokarijo has been promoted to Vice President of Workforce Operations. Gina's role includes strategic planning and program development, as well as leading the team delivering critical services to job seekers and businesses. With more than a decade of workforce experience, Gina has created long-standing and strong partnerships built on collaboration and opportunity for career seekers, educational providers, employers, and key stakeholders. Congratulations to both Nilda and Gina on receiving these new leadership roles!

Jewish American Heritage Month
Did you know that May is Jewish American Heritage Month? It is a time to honor and pay tribute to Jewish Americans who have contributed to the rich history of this country. To learn more, the Orange County Library System partnered with Talli Dippold, CEO of the Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida, to gain insight on this important and historical resource. You can visit the Holocaust Center through the library’s Local Wanderer culture pass program. Now through May 25th, the Holocaust Center is showing special exhibition, "Basic Judaism" in addition to their existing interactive and immersive experiences.
