JUNETEENTH2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration 2023 Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, District 5 Commissioner Regina I. Hill and District 6 Commissioner Bakari F. Burns for the second annual City of Orlando Juneteenth Celebration at Clear Lake Park on Saturday, June 17th from 11am-3pm. The Highwaymen Exhibition and CelebrationJoin Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs for the Juneteenth Celebration of "The Highwaymen: The Walker Collection of Florida Self-Taught Art" and Opening Reception for “The Velveteen Banana II” by Andrew Moschburg at 5:30pm on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Orange County Administration Center. The Highwaymen captured America’s postwar spirit through the prodigious output of lively oil paintings that depicted tropical landscapes, a land of bountiful possibilities. This exhibit celebrates the richness and diversity of Hispanic culture through visual art. By showcasing local talent, this exhibition fosters cultural understanding and appreciation while providing a platform for visual artists to gain exposure and recognition for their creative endeavors. Artists of all levels, from emerging talents to established professionals, are encouraged to submit their original artwork inspired by the Hispanic heritage and culture.
