DOP Board Member Ross Wolf Named Associate Provost of UCF
The new associate provost for UCF Downtown is a seasoned academic leader and distinguished criminal justice scholar who helped launch the campus in Fall 2019. The appointment of Ross Wolf ’88 ’91MPA ’98EdD by Michael D. Johnson, provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs, elevates his role from assistant provost for UCF Downtown that started in April 2019. As associate provost, Wolf will oversee campus academics and operations, partnerships, initiatives and community relations for an urban campus that serves more than 7,500 students. His appointment follows an internal search process and is effective Feb. 18. Congratulations!

Paws in the Park
Join the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando on Saturday, February 12, 2022 for Paws in the Park - Orlando's Largest Pet Festival! Register today to help support Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, the region’s oldest and largest animal welfare agency. Your support will help Pet Alliance save over 5,200 dogs and cats this year by providing shelter, care and love until they find their forever home. The event will take place at Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando and starts at 10 AM on Saturday, February 12!

Cooking brings family and friends together, but did you know cooking fires are the number-one cause of home fires and home injuries? In honor of Burn Awareness Week (February 6th – 12th), the Warden Burn Center at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) would like to share the attached Cooking Safety Tips with you and your members. Warden BurnCenter is one of only 5 verified burn centers in the state of Florida but the only burn center in Central Florida. The verification designation reflects Orlando Health’s commitment to excellence and its dedication to providing quality care to patients.

As the premier sports and entertainment venue in the region, the arena offers unique and unrivaled work experiences across a range of part-time positions. Amway Center and its partners are seeking a team of professionals who thrive in a fast-paced and exciting environment to support their hometown sports teams and world-class performers. Job openings are available in numerous areas, including guest services, security, food & beverage and cleaning. Applicants are encouraged to bring resumes and two (2) forms of identification since Amway Center and its partner organizations, including Andy Frain Services, Levy Restaurants, Owens Realty Services and Reef Parking, are all conducting same-day on-site interviews.
