100th Anniversary of Captain Charles L. Alberton's Book Donation to Orlando Public Library 
Yesterday was the 100th anniversary of Captain Charles L. Albertson’s book donation to the City of Orlando that was the precursor to the Orlando Public Library, which opened in 1923.

EDC This Weekend
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), the annual three-day dance music festival, returns to Tinker Field on November 12, 13 & 14. Now in its tenth year playing Orlando, EDC draws big crowds while also generating an even bigger economic impact that benefits local businesses and our Central Florida community.

Valencia College to Hold Grand Opening for New Jobs Training Center
WHAT: Grand opening of Valencia College’s new Center for Accelerated Training in Northwest Orlando – where unemployed and underemployed residents from area communities (Pine Hills, West Lakes, Rosemont, Apopka) can learn hands-on skills training for new careers in local industries. With support from area employers, Valencia’s program is matching graduates with jobs in manufacturing, construction, healthcare and information technology. More details here.

Festival of Trees at Orlando Museum of Art
