WINNER, WINNER, TURKEY DINNER.
Thanksgiving to go.
In 2020 fashion, Thanksgiving may not look the same this year. Orlando Health shared tips about reducing the impact Covid has on your family gatherings, such as eating outside or hosting a Zoom event. But what about Nanna's sweet potato mash or Uncle Frank's fried turkey? Have no fear. Thankfully, we live in a city with delicious restaurants that have you covered. (Psst! If you know of others, please share and we will pass them on to the DOP community.)
Delaney's Tavern has a fully customizable menu, from whole turkey, roasted prime rib, gouda mashed potatoes and green bean casserole to a dessert bar reminiscent of a full-blown bakery.
DoveCote's Thanksgiving feast serves up to six for about $120 and includes all the traditional fixin's plus an assortment of cookies.
Soco Restaurant has take home packages for two or four, including choice of entree (with a vegetarian option!) and five sides plus dessert.

Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard
"Hi, I’m Dax Shepard, and I love talking to people. I am endlessly fascinated by the messiness of being human, and I find people who are vulnerable and honest about their struggles and shortcomings to be incredibly sexy. I invite you to join me as I explore other people’s stories. We will celebrate, above all, the challenges and setbacks that ultimately lead to growth and betterment. What qualifies me for such an endeavor? More than a decade of sobriety, a degree in Anthropology and four years of improv training. I will attempt to discover human “truths” without any laboratory work, clinical trials or data collection. I will be, in the great tradition of 16th-century scientists, an Armchair Expert."Spittin Chicklets

Designing Your Life by Bill Burnett & Dave Evans
"Designers create worlds and solve problems using design thinking. Look around your office or home–at the tablet or smartphone you may be holding or the chair you are sitting in. Everything in our lives was designed by someone. And every design starts with a problem that a designer or team of designers seeks to solve. In this book, Bill Burnett and Dave Evans show us how design thinking can help us create a life that is both meaningful and fulfilling, regardless of who or where we are, what we do or have done for a living, or how young or old we are. The same design thinking responsible for amazing technology, products, and spaces can be used to design and build your career and your life, a life of fulfillment and joy, constantly creative and productive, one that always holds the possibility of surprise."
The Women in the Window By AJ Finn
"Anna Fox lives alone, a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times . . . and spying on her neighbors.
Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, a mother and their teenage son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn’t, her world begins to crumble and its shocking secrets are laid bare.
What is real? What is imagined? Who is in danger? Who is in control? In this diabolically gripping thriller, no one—and nothing—is what it seems."
Thank you, Alison, for playing DJ this week!
