With the weather already teetering in the 90s, Florida summer is sneaking up fast. The stifling weather also means school summer break and lots of free time for the young ones. To keep your tots engaged in learning while having fun, here is a roundup of some great summer camp programs offered throughout Downtown Orlando.
The Orange County Library System offers free summer programs for all age at many of their locations, and their Melrose Center offers cool technology and maker camps specifically. Next door, the Orange County Regional History Center provides programs for ages 6-11 with the focus on history and STEM through hands on activities, speakers and field trips. For the budding performer, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts offers classes in jazz, music theater, improv and more. For preschool through ninth grade, the Orlando Science Center has camp sessions like Turtle Power, Our World of Minecraft, Express Your Tech and Drone Zone.
