PARKING LEVEL: PRO.

Parking Downtown can be daunting, but not if you plan ahead and know where to look. Those that live and work Downtown already know the scoop on the perfect lot or the side street that always has a meter¬†available… and now you can too!

Back, back, back it up.
Downtown Orlando has tons of safe, accessible and affordable parking options. If you are catching a game or show at the Amway, the Geico Garage is a standard go-to and fans can even skip the lines by getting pre-paid parking online. The City Commons garage is close by as well, and is also convenient for those visiting the Dr. Phillips Center (and SunTrust or County Admin are solid back-ups). When dining in the Central Business District, the Garland lot is an affordable hourly option and there are also metered spots throughout the area for $1/hour (free after 6 p.m. and on Sundays!). And if you catch a flick at the Cobb Theater Downtown, parking is only $3 for three hours in the Plaza garage.

Then in the North Quarter, street parking is available along both sides of Orange Avenue and the garage behind Reyes offers complimentary two-hour parking. Heading to Thornton Park, free and metered spots line Eola Drive and Post Parkside and Thornton Park Centralgarages make it easy to get to the Farmer’s Market or one of the many festivals in the park. Whatever you do, just don’t park in the 7/11 lot when grabbing your tall non-fat latte at Starbucks. You WILL be towed.

Valet Important Person.
Whether you are running late, your heals are killing you, or you are just feeling fancy, some nights valet can be a saving grace. Fortunately, many Downtown establishments offer the VIP treatment for patrons and visitors.

…and for frequent Downtown flyers, a monthly parking pass is a must and Lanier can hook you up.
