DOLLAR DOLLAR BILLS, Y’ALL.
Financial institutions have a big presence in the Downtown skyline, but did you know that they also make quite an impression at ground level too? Check out some of the ways a few of these money machines are supporting the Downtown Orlando community.
Giving back big time.
As part of their PRO Neighborhood initiative, JPMorgan Chase has committed millions of dollars to revitalize Central Florida and help combat affordable housing and homelessness. Recently Fifth Third Bank awarded grants to four local non-profits including one for LIFT Orlando, a community partnership program aiming to accelerate community transformation through housing, education and wellness. Over at BB&T, associates participate in a company-wide community service effort, the BB&T Lighthouse Project, which is now in its 10th year. And through a collaborative space located in Downtown Orlando, the Seaside Institute at Seaside National Bank and Trust serves as a venue for learning and social programming that informs, entertains and promotes well-being.
From their support of the Orlando City Soccer Club, Solar Bears, and Broadway in Orlando, FAIRWINDS Credit Union has deep ties in the Orlando sports and arts community. Among other initiatives, PNC Foundation supports Family Magic at the Ballet, which provides access to the arts, regardless of a family’s financial abilities. Seacoast National Bank is reducing its environmental footprint after it’s recent acquisition of First Green Bank and will be repurposing the charging stations and continuing the solar loan program.
It’s not easy being green, but it helps.
